“ It was good. Pricey for pastries but I pretty much expected that. I wasn't blown away but the flavors were good and the pastries were fresh. My favorite part was the lemon curd with berries in the pastry. ”
“ Came across this place after eating lunch and we were wanting a dessert on a rainy day! Service is super friendly and everything is so fresh and delicious! ”
“ I had really high hopes for this place but my expectations fell a bit short. I wanted to try their pistachio chocolate croissant as well as their cruffin, but they were out of the cruffin when I went. There isn't too much seating and it was quite full when we went. We got the pistachio pan au chocolate and the seasonal supreme spiral croissant, which was strawberry chocolate. While both were good, nothing really blew me away. I could barely taste the pistachio in the croissant, but the chocolate was nice and melty. The supreme croissant did have good flavor, but wasn't anything that memorable either. ”
“ Was looking forward to trying the pistachio croissant but they were sold out and turns out I'll need to order them ahead of time the night before as they are very popular. Next time! The savory croissants I got were garlic Monkey bread (pull apart bread) and mushroom cheese croissant. Both were good, flaky on outside, soft on inside. My latte could've had more of the pistachio taste but it was decent. The ambiance is quaint and cozy, perfect for chatting with a friend, or reading a book. ”
“ We were in Phinney Ridge getting bread from another bakery down the street when we came across Petit Pierre and decided to make a stop. Unlike the other bakery, there was no line and we were in and out quickly, digging into the pastries soon afterwards. Almond Croissant ($6.50) - This is a more traditional almond croissant (e.g. not the Bakery Nouveau-type twice baked croissant that patisseries around Seattle love to bake). The croissant is cut in half and slathered with a frangipane that's quite processed. It's very yellow in color with all the almond skins completely removed, and it's smooth, moist, and very sweet. It's almost as if they blended almond meat with a ton of sugar syrup. It's not my favorite frangipane to be honest, but hey, even less good frangipane is still good! Otherwise, the almond croissant is well laminated with a honeycomb structure that's on the airier side. It's not especially buttery, but the interior stands up well to the sweetness of the frangipane. The top is spread with a generous layer of frangipane, baked until golden, sliced almonds, and powdered sugar. (4.5/5) Pistachio Chocolate Croissant ($6.50) - This pastry is basically a pain au chocolat that has been cut in half and slathered with a pistachio cream. It's topped with a coarser pistachio blend studded with pieces of pistachio, enhancing the sweet nutty flavor. As with the almond frangipane, the pistachio cream is very smooth, almost custardy, but with good pistachio flavor. For some reason, the interior cream creates large air pockets in the croissant - perhaps there's excess moisture? Still, the croissant is plenty tasty, and the addition of two batons of chocolate in the center certainly helps things out even more! (4/5) Kouign Amann ($6.25) - This pastry is brushed with a salted sugar syrup on the exterior - not quite as much syrup as most other kouign amanns, so there's no extremely sticky caramelized layer on the bottom. A nice sprinkling of pearl sugar on top adds crunch and additional sweetness. The interior is denser and not as layered as the croissants, more resembling a brioche, perhaps. There's layers of sugar syrup baked inside, making the interior actually more sweet than the outside. Even with all the sugar, it's not overwhelmingly sweet and is instead quite well balanced with the salt. This is one of the better kouign amanns I've had. (5/5) The pastries served at Petit Pierre Bakery are pretty solid. They're well balanced in taste and are very well constructed. I'll be back the next time I'm in Phinney Ridge. Bathrooms - One unisex room ”
“ They have pistachio lattes here and a pistachio pastry! They have a selection of savory and sweet. Would recommend! ”
“ This bakery is nestled in the Phinney ridge neighborhood right next to the zoo! I popped in on a rainy day and I was happy to see the coffee menu! The bakery has savory and sweet treats. They also have sandwiches! The service was super quick and friendly! I tried the salmon croissant and the monkey bread both were delightful. The cafe itself has seating so you can enjoy your treats there or meet up with friends! The flat croissants are a show stopper! I'm hoping to try more of the menu next time! ”
“ Remarkable food. The most amazing variations on fresh avocado toast -- soft boiled eggs, arugula, lox, etc. with the perfect crusty bread that first crunches then gives when you bite into it, and the salt... Loved their warmed caprese sandwich with the oozing mozzarella. Pumpkin pie was delightful, delicious filling and easygoing but firm crust. Had to come back to get some croissants decided to try the chocolate orange supreme. Service was friendly. It was busy enough that all the tables we're full but we only had to wait a couple of minutes. It's really nice to be in a space where you can see the entire bakery behind you as you are enjoying the fruits of their labors. Wonderful open space. ”
“ Dropped by Phinney for a quick coffee breakfast stop. There is parking on the side of the road. There are quite a few seats for sit down. A variety of pastry was offered. Had the monkey bread (which was quite tasty and unique texture). Loved the mushroom tart. Chocolate croissant was nothing to write home about. Ordered Americano. Love how they serve in ceramic cup :). Coffee was great. I believe they use Umbria coffee. Atmosphere was very lay back with lots of baking in the background ! Looking forward to returning. ”
“ One of my favorite Seattle bakeries! On Saturdays, go before 9:15AM for the full selection. It's a smaller space so there's not too much indoor seating, but they do have a restroom in the back. The service and atmosphere is warm and comfortable. - Bacon egg and cheese croissant: incredible. This hit the spot and there's an entire hard boiled egg inside! - Mini croissant supreme: cute Halloween frosting but it was a bit dry and not too crispy. It was filled with a yummy light chocolate crème like you'd find inside a filled donut. - Caprese panini: perfectly grilled, with really great cheese and delicious pesto. Everything else looked so scrumptious too, including their seasonal cruffins (today was biscoff), danishes and refrigerated sweets. But their savory items may be even better! I can't wait to come back and try more. ”
